Soc Soc, a Resounding Success

Tonight IC Radio was privileged to broadcast a fantastic event; Soc Soc, which was an amazing success! Music Tech Soc brought together various other clubs and soc's for a social event in DB's in the union.
Represented were Cheese Soc, Juggling, Knit Soc, Funkology (although a Funkology demo lesson doesn't really translate across to radio too well...) Music tech and of course IC Radio. There were a few great acoustic acts in the shape of Luca (apologies I have no idea of his second name at the time of writing, but will endeavor to find it out!) and Arun Rao. Splendid DJ sets from some of IC's finest, including our very own DJ Chainz and DJ Abyss (Ice Cream hour and Off Beat, check 'em out). A good time was had by all!
Due to the magic of IC Radio you can listen again to most of it, between 5 and 9 of it on the Soc Soc show from today! It's highly recommended, admittedly there are a few technical hitches, but for a first run it's not half bad! There's also a few little bits, including a particularly awesome beat-box set on The Crack Den as well.
Get to it! Big thanks to everyone who helped out from both IC Radio and music tech, a very pleased station manager, Rich.

Bulletin: IC Radio is kicking ass! IC Radio is currently on a massive up, there's a lot going on. We're revamping the website, we've got our production studio up and running, we've got all sorts of shiny new shows for you all to listen to, we've been hobnobbing with the stars at various gigs and events around London, and various other things. So watch this space some significant improvements around here in the next few weeks! Also, last night saw a 6 fold increase in listen again quality (we went from 32 to 192 kbps MP3) so you can now listen again to all of your favourite shows as exactly as nature intended! We're having all sorts of fun down here, so if you want to get involved either come down and visit us in the West Basement of Beit or send us an email! That is all... for now!
Sabb Candidate Interviews

As the start of voting for the Sabbatical Elections draws closer, IC Radio will be interviewing the candidates in an attempt to find out what makes them tick and what unique traits that they could bring the the position that they're running for. On Thursday we'll be talking to the candidates for Felix Editor, Deputy President: Clubs & Societies and Deputy President: Finance & Services. On Friday it's the turn of the Deputy President: Education & Welfare and President candidates.
