International Students
Lots of students on the Queen's Lawn
Welcome to Britain, to the cosmopolitan city of London and to Imperial College!
Leaving your family and friends to come to university can be a daunting prospect, which is why Imperial College Union offers a wide range of support services and activities to help you settle in as quickly as possible.
The Union offers an extensive and culturally diverse range of societies, where you will be able to socialise with like–minded people.
One of the most frequently asked questions by international students is whether or not they can work part-time while studying. Non-EU students may work for up to 20 hours per week during term time, and full-time during the vacation period without having to obtain any particular permission to do so.
There are also welfare services provided by the Union and the College.
Further information about these can be found by following the relevant links on the side of the page
