New Students

Welcome to Imperial and Imperial College Union. Your first few weeks and year at University are some of the most exciting and daunting times of your life, leaving home for the first time, moving to London and starting a new phase of your life.

The Union is here to make sure you make the most of them and to provide you with excellent opportunities to participate in a range of activities that will add to your Univeristy experience and help you make friends for the rest of your studies and life. Whether you are interested in Clubs & Societies, our Bars and Entertainments programme, the facilities on Campus or need help with accommodation, these pages should hold some information that you will find interesting.

The Union is here to represent you and provide you with extra-curricular activities, so make the most of us to help you make the most of your time at Univeristy.

The Union is based in Beit Quadrangle on Prince Consort Road, next to the Albert Hall. Come and find us during Freshers' Week, at Freshers' Fair on Tuesday 7 October or throughout the year.

This section of the site is split up into sections that you will find immediately useful, but do check the site regularly for news stories, promotions and events. Good luck with your first year.
