The most obvious signs of pregnancy are a missed period, breast tenderness and nausea, but other signs include vomiting and frequent urination.
Pregnancy can be confirmed one week after missing your period by a urine test available from your GP, family planning clinic or local pharmacist. However, store bought tests are not 100% accurate, so it’s a good idea to have the result confirmed by your GP.
If you are pregnant then you should see your GP as soon as possible, as they will be able to advise you of your options. You can also get confidential advice and information from the British Pregnancy Advisory Service on 0845 730 4030.
