Afro-Caribbean

The Afro-Caribbean society aims to enhance awareness of both African and Caribbean cultures by organizing events which showcase different elements of our heritage. Whether you are keen to celebrate Africa and the Caribbean or you want to be part of an active, fun-filled society at Imperial, we welcome everyone!

Our signature event is the annual Afro-gala which has established itself as a major attraction in the Imperial events calendar, following tremendous growth over the years. The last Afro-gala show, Pulse, left our audience stunned at the excellent standard of music, drama, fashion, acting. There is something for everyone so get involved! As well as organizing numerous social events (parties, movie nights, food nights, trips), we recognise the importance of having career talks and workshops from our prestigious sponsors, giving our members an insight into what employers look for in applicants. With the Afro-Caribbean society celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, it promises to be bigger than ever so don’t miss out. We look forward to seeing you at Freshers’ Fair!
